HELP US KEEP

THE WHEELS TURNING

Te Iti Pounamu Hauora is more than a mobile healthcare service, it’s a lifeline for vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities in South Auckland who have slipped through the cracks of the healthcare system.

Since 2022, it has been providing essential care to those overlooked by conventional services, ensuring early intervention and better access to ongoing support.

Bringing accessible healthcare to South Auckland

Te Iti Pounamu Hauora is all about making healthcare more accessible for those unseen, underserved, or disengaged from the health system in South Auckland. As the only GP-led mobile healthcare service in New Zealand, we not only provide essential care where it’s needed most but also work to reconnect people with primary care for ongoing, preventative support. We’re here to help improve lives and make sure no one falls through the cracks

Back our Bus

Keeping this service on the road is a constant effort, made possible through collaboration with community agencies. By delivering acute care where it’s needed most, we’re easing pressure on already overstretched EDs and preventing long-term harm, both to individuals and the wider health system.

Without urgent funding, there is a real risk this service will have to cease operations.

Right now, Te Iti Pounamu Hauora is stretched beyond capacity, providing critical care to those who would otherwise go without. We need committed partners who share our vision and can support us to keep this lifeline running.
