Honesty, Respect, Compassion,
Courage and Service
KJ Hundal is Indian-Niuean, he grew up in Papatoetoe and Mangere East, South Auckland although he spends a lot of time in West Auckland with his beautiful wife.
What led you to working at The Cause Collective
TCC does a lot of community work for the community. They also back-bone a youth initiative called Do Good Feel Good that I’ve had the privilege of being part of since 2015.
It is through DGFG that I learnt more about TCC and the heart they have for the community. There is a genuine sense of working with our people to try and better our living conditions and that was something I wanted to be a part of and contribute to in any way I could. So here I am!
Who inspires you and why?
My parents, including my in-laws, they came here for better opportunities and are still working very hard to this day for their families.
What is your current role?
Implementation Co-ordinator – Youth
What is your vision for health and wellbeing in South Auckland?
For our communities to be thriving and happy and not under financial stress. For our youth to grow into successful, responsible adults.
What is one funny/quirky/interesting thing that no-one knows about you?
I’m a JDM fan!
Who is your favourite superhero and why?
Captain America because he always fights for what is right and he can knock people out. haha
